Job Description Summary

The Molecular Imaging Value Stream LEAN Leader role will be part of the team responsible for the design, adoption, and execution of the LEAN transformation roadmap for the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics Integrated Supply Chain Business, a global leader in producing imaging agents administered to patients globally to improve images used to diagnose and monitor disease. The role will report to the LEAN & Digital Director (ISC).

This role will partner with plant leaders and global process owners in the Molecular Imaging Value Stream and will be responsible for developing and deploying the LEAN behaviors, principles, standards, and tools across the GEHC PDx network to drive tangible business value. The Lean leader will have hands on experience applying Lean principles and driving results through continuous improvement.

This role is critical to driving the Cultural Change required to move GEHC PDx to a true LEAN organisation. The role requires hands-on experience applying Lean/driving results through continuous improvement and will be a contributing leader to the overall success of the program.Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools across a operational or functional area. Drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Site and Supply Chain Leadership to enable delivery of business priorities using the GEHC lean management system.

  • Development and deployment of the Kaizen funnel required to deliver the annual objectives and long-term strategy.

  • Prioritize improvement opportunities, impact, approach, methods, tools, and timing to maximize business impact and stakeholder participation.

  • Build and implement Daily Management from GENBA to MOR with a coherent set of KPIs.

  • Development of the KPI Bowler aligned with the annual operating plan and Operation Management System

  • Train and coach key team members to accelerate the adoption of Lean across the MI Value Stream

  • Ensure proper training and coaching for effective daily management and a true “embrace the red” culture.

  • Application of the Problem-Solving Process (PSP) for off target KPIs

  • Establish and execute a roadmap to build and implement Standard Work

  • 70/30 split between Site and Global Supply Chain support

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any technical or analytical domain with a preference for Supply Chain Manufacturing related degrees (Business, Economics, Engineering) with 7 years relevant experience or HS/GED with 10 years

  • Experience in highly regulated industries or cGMP

  • Improvement mindset is essential, understands LEAN toolset with proven results

  • Ability to facilitate and conduct Kaizen events (full life-cycle)

  • Leadership experience

  • LEAN/Six Sigma trained with the ability to apply tools and process rigor

  • Willing to travel up to 30%

  • Experience leading large Lean transformational rollout across multiple types of businesses or industries, complex and interdependent initiatives in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.

  • Proven successful application of Lean tool, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, FMEA, Problem Solving, Kanban, Visual Daily Management, Policy Deployment
