Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Essential Responsibilities: 1. Electrical system architect design, motion control, and Peripheral selection, interface design, schematic design, firmware development, debugging and testing2. Multi-generation segment technology planning and rationalization experience with an excellent understanding of product system architecture(s), platforms and core technologies3. Serving as a technical readiness focal point for all pertinent personnel and/or customers4. Coaching and mentoring in order to develop the engineering community in process, career growth and technical excellence5. Provides expert guidance and support to the development organization in various technical/functional aspects of research, development and engineering6. Engaging in all phases of new product introduction, including concept, architecture, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support7. Leverage their technical/clinical depth to work on business initiatives aimed at driving technology harmony, innovation, process convergence and/or quality excellence for a particular product line Qualifications/Requirements : 1. Master’s degree or above within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline2. 10 years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study3. Demonstrated experience driving technology and segment planning processes with a focus on differentiation and financial return4. Demonstrated ability to influence and drive segment direction utilizing internal and external resources on segment initiatives5. Demonstrated strategic planning with experience in driving technical changes across a segment of products Desired Characteristics: 1. Masters or PhD Degree in Engineering or equivalent (defined as 15 years progressive experience within engineering, science, or related field)2. More than 3 years project leadership experience within manufacturing, development or research environment3. CT or DSA motion control development and testing experience4. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task.
