Job Description Summary

As the Senior Software Engineer within PCS Service Technology Team, you are responsible for ensuring data-quality, database performance, and data-model consistency across the Encompass ecosystem. You will define best practices, maintain database migration scripts, automate where possible, and establish high-quality monitoring of system health. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

• Share knowledge with product team, help develop/maintain best practices.

• Review/approve developer queries, functions, and stored procedures.

• Optimize system & per-table settings for best auto-vacuum performance.

• Establish and maintain PostgreSQL roles/user for DBO access.

• Conduct query analysis and optimization.

• Consult on next-generation analytics platform, develop ETL and data-warehouse artifacts.

• Ensure queries, stored procedures, and functions operate as intended, and within performance expectations.

• Mentor junior team members, conduct Knowledge Transfer trainings on the Product.

• Collaboratively working across Product, Operations, and Engineering teams in diverse geographic locations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BE/B.Tech with 5+ years of experience

• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server

• Experience with managed databases, data warehousing, and data lakes are a plus.
