Job Description Summary

The Verification and Validation Lead (Technical) will be responsible for design Verification and Validation using manual and automated test methods and will be accountable for verification deliverables for Patient Care Solutions Service Technology Platform programs.

Responsibilities include carrying out all the activities in the test life cycle such as Planning, Preparing and Executing the Verification and Validation, driving automation, mentoring the test team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Testing Strategy and Framework Development: Design and implement comprehensive V&V strategies with clear testing methodologies, acceptance criteria, and performance benchmarks for cloud-based platform products.

  • Test Planning and Execution: Lead the development of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, covering functional, performance, security, and integration aspects of the platform. Oversee test execution and defect management. Participation in project meetings, project reviews, and specification reviews, Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Daily Scrums. Development of new test systems and tools and maintenance of existing test systems

  • Test Automation: Champion automation across multiple testing phases. Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and frameworks. Build and maintain automated test suites to streamline processes and accelerate release cycles.

  • CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with development teams to integrate V&V processes and automated test suites into the CI/CD pipelines. Ensure continuous quality checks and early detection of issues.

  • Data Quality Monitoring and Governance: Develop and implement data quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems. Proactively monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and drive root cause analysis and remediation.

  • Collaboration and Best Practices: Work closely with software engineers, architects and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer : Mentor and guide team members, sharing your V&V expertise and fostering skill development within the platform teams and across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Software & Product Testing.

  • Automation Mindset : Strong background in test automation tools and frameworks (eg., Selenium, Cypress, Pytest, JUnit). Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.).

  • CI/CD Understanding: In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts, tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.), and how to integrate comprehensive testing into software delivery pipelines.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work across teams and stakeholders at all levels

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of Containers & Virtualization Technologies including Dockers and Kubernetes to test complex scenarios.

  • Exposure to IAAS , PAAS & SAAS automation pipelines, Good experience with CICD, gitlab runner is preferred.

  • Experience on testing Infra components OS/Network level knowledge.Working Knowledge of measuring performance KPI’s, throughput, responses, etc. using JMeter, Load Runner, etc.

  • Expertise in at least one scripting language, one programming language and working knowledge of Linux

  • 5 + years of hands-on experience in Behavior Driven Development automation of backend services (Behavior Driven Development / JBehave / Cucumber / Java / REST)

  • Good knowledge of testing methodologies and processes, including manual, automated, standards and compliance testing

  • Demonstrated skills for planning and coordinating verification and validation activities for New Product Development programs.

  • Demonstrated experience owning/driving automation strategy and executing and end to end automation

  • Strong Experience to programmatically test products; measure test coverage; develop best Automation, profiling, and Performance/ Load testing tools; and drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product.

  • Software automation experience and tools e.g. Squish, Labview, Python, Selenium or Java etc.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience of having led verification for large and complex programs and demonstrated automation implementation experience.

  • Experience in Agile methodology

  • Familiarity with working in regulated environments such as Healthcare / Medical devices

  • Experience with Test Management Tools like ALM, JAMA

  • Clear Thinker & Problem Solver- Proactively identifies & clears roadblocks for the team

  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task.
