Job Description Summary

As a Staff Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for working in lock-step with application or domain leaders to create a clear strategic direction that will be delivered by the EA (Enterprise App) Logistics IT team.

This role will be focused on Logistics Master Data Management and primary focus area will be Rate Management. Individual will be focusing on standardization/digitization of rate management processes followed by other critical logistics master data areas to support business objectives.

You will work with the Enterprise App Logistics IT team & Functional Stakeholders to deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to enable the delivery of product features and functionality. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders including but not limited to: Internal Customers, Process Owners, EA Architects, Application Owner and Development/Support teams.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be:

  • Cooperating with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.

  • Creating and leading the foundation of Logistics master data management with focus on Rate Management.

  • Being primary lead for logistics master data components eg. Rates, Locations etc.

  • Acting as primary lead for Rate Management module OTM. (Enterprise-wide Logistics Product).

  • Managing regional and global multimodal rate loading activities.

  • Creating and maintaining rating & routing records in OTM.

  • Communicating with Functional and Regional sites based on annual/quarterly/monthly data changes.

  • Conducting regular Op-mechs with Business and IT stakeholders focusing on process improvements

  • Leading and facilitating rate management conversations with functional & regional logistics team.

  • Closely collaborating with Regional Logistics leads and GSA Product management.

  • Partnering with Core logistics IT team, Business relationship management team and functional/business leads for Rate loads & their validity.

  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation via tools like Confluence,

  • Creating "to-be" solutions & rate management process designs with emphasis on technical product roadmap for overall logistics master data elements.

  • Working closely with technology vendors as relationship liaison to assess, evaluate and incorporate latest advancements in Rate/Master Data management tools which can be integrated with OTM.

  • Translating functional business needs to technical design requirements by understanding the business language and the technical specs,

  • Collaborating closely with peers across the organization to leverage knowledge, other solutions, and best practice,

  • Performing solution design, including directing other team members, contractors and identification of mitigation strategies for broader master data management issues,

  • Engages frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, providing clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validating; contributing to design activities and decisions.

  • Designing validating and maintaining technical documentation related to Rate Management/Logistics Master Data management processes.

  • Assisting with analysis and development to improve trade management & transportation planning at the operational and tactical level encompassing key master data attributes.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM field,

  • Professional experience working in Logistics/Supply Chain IT or techno/functional role in Rate management.

  • Professional experience in design & management of an IT product (Supply Chain & Logistics product will be preferred but not limited to )

  • Proficiency and in-depth technical expertise in master data management Frameworks & Technologies,

  • Knowledge and expertise in ETL technologies, Framework and must have exposure to SQL or equivalent data retrieval languages.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Logistics (Rate, Location data management will be big plus), Supply Chain Concepts & core product management.

  • Strong business analysis skills, understanding and usage of (SaaS or On-prem) products.

  • Leadership and influence skills to define the product implementation & overall process design.

  • Ability to mentor team members,

  • Experience working on multiple concurrent projects,

  • Excellent problem-solving skills,

  • Be independent and self-driven,

  • Proficiency with software development standard methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Lean),

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related fields

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs,

  • Leading the changes as a technology ambassador,

  • Aggregation of disparate data among multiple systems,

  • Proven ability in managing, simplifying, and standardizing complex processes,

  • Proven ability to work on cross-functional, multi-cultural teams,

  • Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes,

  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing contractors.

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally (Rare/Occasionally).
