Job Description Summary

As a member of the ASIA (AKA-Japan-ISA) Patient Care Solutions (PCS) Leadership Team, the Anaesthesia & Respiratory (ARC) Modality Leader is responsible for developing and executing the portfolio strategy to drive profitable growth in the Modality. This individual will have a clear understanding of the clinical pathways where PCS solutions are involved. With a deep understanding of the MedTech industry, the ARC Modality Leader will help the LCT’s to develop strong relationships with key customers and opinion leaders.

Working in a matrix organization, this role will report to the GM PCS ASIA and collaborate closely with International & ASIA Marketing, Sales, and Service leaders in addition to Zone Commercial leaders. The AKA Zone and AKA LCT product managers for ARC will report directly to this role. The Japan and ISA product managers will continue to report within their Zone and collaborate closely with this role.

The ARC Modality Leader ASIA will drive best practices across the 3 Zones in developing and executing a product portfolio strategy comprised of market analysis and segmentation, product positioning, competitor analysis, pricing and wing-to-wing installed base management. This position is responsible for generating growth strategies across ASIA which increase both visibility and win rate.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Lead, coach and support a team of talented people to help them develop to achieve their goals and maximise their capabilities.

  • Demonstrate Value Creation and Care Area approach tailored to market needs in ASIA in partnership with the International PCS organization.

  • Empower customer success by innovating and enhancing efficiency through transformation programs centered on patient safety and user experience. This is facilitated by leveraging digital technology, clinical differentiation and optimizing workflow.

  • Responsible for the Modality Daily Management System, partnering with the Modalities and Zone/LCT leadership to drive weekly orders and sales pacing, including funnel management, and lifecycle within the Modality.

  • Escalate customer experience issues and VOC to Global through the International PCS organization.

  • Ensure optimal product positioning within the Zone/LCT by designing price strategies in accordance with the Modality profitability strategy in International. Strive to achieve OPI targets.

  • Collect competitive insights, conduct competition analysis, and demonstrate problem solving capabilities by developing defense strategies focused on WR and market share.

  • Elevate Zone and LCT specialisation at Product Modalities, Commercial Teams & Channel Partners by leveraging best practice across ASIA.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and understand the potential implications of changing market dynamics, adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Based on sound market, competition and product knowledge, work with PCS Product Marketing to develop programs leveraging value propositions that drive improved outcomes.

  • Develop the NPI (New Product Introduction) Commercial Launch Plan (CLP). Once approved, measure the effective ness of the NPI CLP.

  • Work with OTR, Inventory and Supply Chain to manage inventory levels through the PSI process. Ensuring forecasts provide adequate visibility of ASIA demand at factory level to allow for timely supply. Ensuring inventory levels in ASIA are leveraged to minimize financial impact on the P&L including the management of demo inventory.

Qualifications/Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or a related field; master’s degree preferred/ MBA will be considered a strong asset.

  • 7+ years’ experience in product management, strategic selling in medical, healthcare or a related field; prior experience (minimum 10+ years) in Sales/ product management and/or marketing would be an asset.

  • Strong track record in high technology, capital equipment product and solution sales.

  • Leadership skills to lead high performing teams and shape/lead growth vision and product Modality strategy.

  • Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization.

  • Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, strategic agility, manage diversity, assess, eliminate, or mitigate risk and drive for results.

  • Experience in managing a matrix organization with multi-cultural teams and multi-markets businesses.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward thinking and customer-focused attitude.

  • Demonstrates role-model behaviours ensuring compliance with all internal and external policies and regulations.

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

  • Knowledge and understanding of all Global Privacy and Anti-Competition Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare HIPPA Guidelines, NEMA Regulations, etc.) and operates within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken.

  • Knowledge and understanding of all Environmental Health Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare EHS Policies, GE Healthcare Fleet Rules, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken.

  • Ownership of order and configuration quality at the point of entry to ensure accuracy, configuration integrity and that all requirements are tied to documented customer inputs.

  • Drive continuous simplification improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.
